Server Shut Down Concern - Guild Wars Forums

Hi

Will there be a weekly server shut down for maintenance and backup as that of World of Warcraft ?

As I know that GuildWars servers are up and united together as one world for all players. Does servers still have to be shut down; but this will be transparent to all players?

My guess is that they'll just shut down individual servers when they need to for maintenance, and the other servers will just pick up the extra load while that server is down. Since all the servers are inter-connected, taking one offline won't keep you from logging in and playing.
